"Thanks. This is one of my tried and true routines. I don't see why it would work. They might even prove to be more inclined to follow this than the youngest ones."

1st day(s) and time teaching internship

Hi all, I'm an art-teacher student from the Netherlands and am starting my first time ever helping and teaching in art class on a middle school. The students are between the ages of 12 and 15. What can I expect and what should I do and not do? I am pretty nervous as I've understood that the students can "smell" when you're inexperienced hahahaa. I'd really appreciate your tips, tricks and advice. Thanks,ThaniaSee More

Pass /Fail Options

I am looking for feedback on some grading options.  1.  Does any high school district have pass fail options for their students?  If so how is this managed( are students limited)2.  Does anyone strictly grade on pass fail for High School Art Classes?  If so, what do you see as the advantages/disadvantages?3.  Do you offer higher leveled courses as honors credit? Any feedback would be much appreciated!!! See More
